Opening Convocation and Luncheon
On Saturday morning, September 13, at 11:00, our Opening Convocation will mark the 10th anniversary of the first class at NHTS. It also launches us into the new academic year—and the next ten years. We invite all alums and friends of the House to join us on that occasion. We especially invite those who were members of that first class. It’s Class Reunion time!
The Reverend Dale Harris, who was the Director during those first years, will be the preacher/speaker. Bishop Calvin McConnell, who facilitated the spiritual formation for that first year, will be the celebrant for Eucharist.
WE HAVE A NEW LOCATION FOR THIS EVENT: The service will be held in the Worship Center of the MICAH Building, 680 State Street, Salem, Oregon and a light buffet will be served following the Convocation.
10th Anniversary Fundraising Event

Where: The Salem Conference Center
Please mark Sunday October 19, 2008 on your calendars as we prepare to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and
participate in our Annual Fundraising Event. This year the festivities take place at the Salem Conference Center in
the Croissan Room.
This year’s extravaganza includes:
- A top notch speaker
- jazz trio
- wonderful meal
- silent auction.
All proceeds go to support the Northwest House of Theological Studies and its ongoing mission to train and empower individuals for ministry in the Northwest and the world. Tickets will be available in July. For more information please call 503.588.4344.
