Northwest House of Theological Studies

Dear Friends of Northwest House of Theological Studies,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Northwest House of Theological Studies is closing and dissolving its corporation as of June 30, 2010. We have been working as a Board to try to find funding that would sustain us through 2010 and beyond, but were not successful in doing so. At our regular Board meeting on May 16, 2010, it was moved, seconded and passed to dissolve the corporation as of June 30, 2010.

We realize this puts a hardship on people interested in progressive theological education in the northwest and for that we have a deep feeling of regret. This is a difficult time for most seminaries and other institutions of learning in this economic climate. We are proud of the fine education we were able to offer over the past eleven years and even more proud of the students who have become vital links in our churches today.

Thank you to all of you who have supported Northwest House over the years. Those of us on the Board of NHTS are grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this organization.
